My Story

For as long as I can remember, I've been driven to answer two essential questions: How does this work and what makes it matter?

For over a decade, I applied these questions professionally. As a brand strategist and UX director for universities and tech startups, my job was to dive into complex, scattered information and emerge with clear, actionable systems. I built brand identities, designed user experiences, and crafted stories that turned messy ideas into something sensible and authentic for others. It was work I enjoyed and excelled atβ€”a practical outlet for my lifelong impulse to build and organize.

But the update that changed everything for me wasn't a marketing funnel or a piece of software. It was becoming a father.

Suddenly, the abstract challenges of my day job were replaced by the deeply personal, beautifully chaotic system of raising a human being. The focus of my life shifted. The most important systems I could build were no longer for clients, but for my own family. The most important stories I could tell were the ones I would one day share with my son.

That shift is the heart of everything I create now.

I wrote my memoir to make sense of my own story β€” of childhood, of the journey to adulthood, and of the profound transformation of becoming a dad.

I started my YouTube channel as a way to document the things I'm building and the lessons I'm learning. It's a living archive of my interests and my love for my family, shared with the world.

And my lifelong passion for deconstructing narrative has become Loreteller, where I design and publish the kind of systematic, actionable writing tools I always wished I'd had.

Becoming a father also led me to develop The Renaissance Child Framework, a comprehensive approach to intentional parenting that combines my systematic thinking with the deep love and responsibility I feel for raising my child.
